7. First Team Real Estate and Licensed Service Requests

If you ask CMN for licensed real estate representation, transaction assistance, a property showing, listing services, buyer services, or another activity that must be conducted through a brokerage, information reasonably necessary to respond may be provided to or processed through First Team Real Estate systems. Once information is provided through a First Team website, platform, transaction system, or brokerage process, First Team's own notices may separately apply.

First Team's public privacy materials describe the categories of information and service providers used in its own operations. See the First Team Privacy Policy and First Team California Privacy Notice. Those policies govern First Team's systems, not the independent operation of this CMN website unless expressly stated.

8. Sale, Sharing, Advertising, and Cross Context Behavioral Advertising

CMN does not knowingly sell personal information for monetary payment. Certain analytics, advertising, or measurement technologies can be treated as a sale or sharing of personal information under some state privacy laws depending on how the technology is configured and used. To the extent applicable law treats a CMN processing activity as a sale or sharing and requires an opt out, CMN will provide and honor the legally required choice mechanism.

CMN does not disclose phone numbers, text messaging consent, or email subscription consent to unaffiliated third parties for those third parties' own independent marketing merely because a person subscribed to CMN content.

9. Artificial Intelligence and Personal Information

CMN may use AI assisted tools or service providers to help organize research, summarize public information, draft internal work product, classify inquiries, support communications, or improve editorial workflows. Personal information should be minimized when using such tools and should not be entered into a general AI tool when the same task can be completed without identifying the individual.

CMN does not intend to use general website AI tools to make a legally significant determination about a person's housing eligibility, creditworthiness, employment, government benefit eligibility, or other decision for which applicable law requires a different process. Licensed real estate judgment remains subject to human review and applicable broker supervision. The California DRE AI advisory emphasizes that AI does not shift legal responsibility away from a licensee or broker.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers transmit legacy Do Not Track signals. CMN's website does not currently respond to legacy Do Not Track signals in a uniform manner because there is no single universally adopted response standard. California law requires a privacy policy to disclose how the operator responds to these signals when applicable. See Business and Professions Code § 22575.

Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, for a processing activity that qualifies as a sale or sharing, CMN will process supported signals as required by law. Browser level signals may not affect processing that is legally exempt, necessary to provide a requested service, or outside the statutory definition of sale or sharing.

11. California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act

The California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act apply to businesses that meet statutory requirements and to covered processing. Some privacy rights therefore apply only when the statutory definition and thresholds are met. To the extent CMN is subject to the CCPA or CPRA with respect to your personal information, CMN will honor the rights required by applicable law, which may include rights to know or access, correct inaccurate information, request deletion subject to exceptions, receive information about categories of collection and disclosure, opt out of covered sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service without unlawful retaliation for exercising privacy rights.

12. Privacy Requests, Verification, and Authorized Agents

A California resident or other person with rights under applicable privacy law may submit a request through the CMN Contact page or by emailing Contact@cmnrealtygroup.com with the subject line Privacy Request. CMN may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, locate responsive records, protect another person's information, or verify the authority of an authorized agent. CMN will respond within the period required by applicable law.

CMN may voluntarily consider reasonable access, correction, or deletion requests even when a particular statute does not legally require the request to be granted. Exceptions may apply where information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, recordkeeping, an ongoing requested service, or another lawful purpose.

13. Data Retention

CMN intends to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and research records, to respond to inquiries, to document consent or opt out status, to comply with law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Retention periods vary by record type and context.

If information becomes part of a licensed real estate transaction, First Team and the responsible broker may have separate statutory and brokerage record retention duties. California law generally requires a licensed broker to retain specified transaction records for three years. See Business and Professions Code § 10148.

14. Information Security

CMN uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and available systems. No internet transmission, email system, website, cloud service, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should avoid sending highly sensitive information through ordinary email or general website forms.

If CMN becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information, CMN will evaluate and respond to the incident in accordance with applicable law and the role of any relevant service provider or brokerage system.

15. Email, Newsletter, Telephone, and Text Communications

A person who subscribes to CMN research may receive publication alerts, newsletters, research updates, and related information. Marketing email is subject to federal CAN SPAM requirements. See the FTC CAN SPAM compliance guide. Nonessential marketing emails should provide an unsubscribe method and opt out requests will be honored as required by law.

If CMN later uses automated telephone or text marketing, the applicable form or communication will provide any consent, frequency, message and data rate, and opt out disclosures required for that communication. A licensed service request transferred to a First Team system may be subject to First Team's separately presented communication consent terms.

16. Children

The CMN website and services are not directed to children under 13 and CMN does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through general website functions. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted information, contact CMN so the matter can be reviewed.

17. External Websites, Embedded Tools, and Social Platforms

CMN may link to or embed property search tools, government sources, chart platforms, maps, builders, social platforms, First Team resources, and other third party services. Those services may collect information directly from you or your device under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not control a third party's independent processing.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

CMN may update this Privacy Policy as website features, service providers, brokerage processes, privacy laws, or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected by revising the effective date and, when required by law, providing an additional notice appropriate to the change.

20. Mobile Information and SMS Consent

When a visitor affirmatively opts in through a CMN website form, CMN Realty Group may use the submitted mobile number to respond to the inquiry, provide requested real estate or housing intelligence information, coordinate appointments, send reminders, and communicate relevant service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

A recipient may reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from text messages or reply HELP for assistance. An opt out request will be honored for the mobile number associated with the request. CMN may send one nonmarketing confirmation that the opt out was processed.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent will not be shared with third parties, except service providers that process data solely to operate CMN communications and are prohibited from using the information for their own marketing.
