Questions About Working With CMN

What an engagement involves, who it serves, and where the boundaries sit.

What does a CMN advisory engagement actually involve?

It begins with a question, not a property. An agency asks what housing need looks like in a submarket. An investor asks whether a thesis holds. A seller asks what the data says about timing. CMN gathers the relevant public and market data, states what it shows, states what it cannot show, and translates the result into guidance you can act on or defend to a board.

The deliverable is a written analysis with every source, series, and limitation identified. The interpretation is labelled as interpretation and kept separate from the data.

Who is this for?

Public agencies and institutions that need housing evidence for planning, programs, or procurement. Investors and developers testing a market before committing capital. Sellers and buyers who want to understand a market rather than be sold one.

The common thread is that the question comes before the transaction.

What does an engagement cost?

Pricing is on request. Scope varies widely between a single market brief and a multi county research engagement, so CMN quotes against the actual question rather than a published rate card.

How is this different from working with a brokerage?

A brokerage is compensated when a transaction closes. That is a legitimate model, but it shapes what gets said. CMN's work product is the analysis itself, which means the honest answer is sometimes that the data does not support the move you were considering.

The real estate license supports the research. It is not the primary identity.

Is CMN a government agency?

No. CMN Realty Group is an independent housing intelligence and real estate advisory company. It works with public sector clients and draws heavily on federal and public data, but it is not affiliated with any government body and does not speak for one.
